U.S president Joe Biden has vowed revenge after a deadly drones strike in Jordan. A one-way attack struck a logistics support base in Jordan known as tower 22. In this incident, 3 American soldiers were killed and 34 were injured in the strike which is happening near the Syrian border. Biden blamed Iran-backed militias for the first U.S fatalities after months of strikes against American forces since the start of the Israel-Hamas war.

Biden said U.S “will hold all those responsible at a time and in a manner of our choosing”. U.S defense secretary Lloyd Austin said “we will take all necessary actions to defend the United States, our troops and our interests”. Jordan government “confirmed the terrorist attack” that targeted the U.S troops.

However, former U.S president Donald Trump called the attack a “result of Biden’s weakness”. “Instead, we are on the brink of World War 3,” said by Donald Trump. He also added that Jordan strike, Hamas’ Oct 07 attack on Israel and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine would not have happened if he had still been in the power.

Hamas official Sami Abu Zuhri said that the group had warned the U.S. Al Jazeera quoted him as saying that U. S was warned that expansion of the conflict in the Middle East is a result of the “Aggression on Gaza”. Since the war in Gaza began, Iranian-backed militias have struck American military installation in Iraq more than 60 times and in Syria, more than 90 times. They have used a mix of drones, rockets, mortars and ballistic missiles in the attacks. The militias have said they are retaliating against the U.S support for Israel in the war. They also said that their aim to push U.S forces out pf the Middle east region.
